I really like the Negroni. It makes a great before dinner drink. The campari is the perfect spirit to preparing  the palate for a meal.So Here’s an excellant alternative for those with a distast for gin, God forbid. This is similar but instead of gin, we substitute bourbon.’


The Boulevardier


1 1/2 oz. Makers Mark bourbon

1 oz. Campari

1 oz. Carpano Antica sweet vermouth

Ice cubes

Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer

Glass: cocktail

Garnish: orange slice, lemon twist or cherry



Stir long and well with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a cocktail glass.
