May Day Cocktail

It’s May again. I could have gone with The National Hamburger Month or National BBQ month, but I’ll leave that to the food bloggers. We like booze. This drink would pair well with BBQ, a burger, or a burger with bbq sauce. So enjoy!

May Day


1/2 oz. Plymouth  gin

1/2 oz. Aperol

1/2 oz. lemon juice

1 bar spoon simple syrup

3 dashes fee brothers rhubarb bitters

2 oz. champagne

Stir first 5, top with Champagne, no garnish

The aperol and lemon juice pair so well with the gin and champagne. I use the rhubarb bitters pretty frequently and overall it creates a nicely balanced drink.may-day-plymouth-gin-aperol-rhubarb-bitters-champagne-224x300
